Here at Dark Hygge, I aim to celebrate slow, abundant living with a dark romantic twist. The Danish concept of hygge refers to the feeling of comfort, connection, and contentment.
How wonderful that sounds. It’s almost everything I want out of the life I am curating for myself. But to go after that alone denies a different spirit that I’ve never been able to shake. A love of mystery…romance…and an unshakeable appreciation for the dark and moody. My corner of the internet here is a place for book lovers, daydreamers (nightdreamers perhaps), and those who find beauty in the quiet, emotional moments of life.
For now, my cozy corner is for book reviews and stray thoughts. Whatever it is, if it lights a candle in my window, then I’ll tuck it into bed here at Dark Hygge.
